changed watched folder from single to multiple

i initially added photos to single album. after all items had been uploaded, i removed the watch folder and added it back w/ multiple folder option. once it was complete, i chose 'clean up uncategorized' and nothing happened... I was expecting that the photos would now have albums.. Was i wrong to expect that?
