Continuous Elevator causing crash

I've identified a bug in the continuous elevator mod causing the game to crash with some sort of memory error.
Crash occurs when you try to select a buildable from your hotbar that is no longer available to you because the space elevator is not being fed enough items.
When selecting the item on the hotbar - its sprite/preview will change to a white box and be called 'smelter'
If you try to place the buildable or cancel by using right click, the game crashes. You can press escape to back out with no issues. Fixing the supply issue to the elevator also fixes the issue.
