Auth, allowed URLs wildcard not working again?

Until today, when I noticed that our magic links are defaulting to the default redirect URL again.
I added my new URL explicitly to the list and now it works again. I can open this as a big, but was wondering if others are having the same issue.
<url>/** wildcard in the redirect URL config wasn't working, from January up until about June of this year. Then it worked. Until today, when I noticed that our magic links are defaulting to the default redirect URL again.
