i accidentally downgraded to 1.21.114
all my worlds are gone last back up was a month, i can only reinstall minecraft, is there anyway to get my data back without reinstalling if not there should be a warning or something showing that downgrading will make you delete all your data.

it was literally given in #changelogs in flarial to back up as this was a problem, and this is a minecraft problem not a flarial problem and i dont know if there is any way to get back that data u lost
flarial not letting you upgrade your version without + not telling u and no warnings is a minecraft problem? also minecraft saved data on the new update, flarial is a good client except by the time it updates a new version comes out
there's a popup on the launcher when you try to change versions between GDK and UWP saying data won't be backed up
moreover we've also sent numerous pinged warnings in #changelogs telling everyone to backup their data because most data loss issues in the new GDK update are caused by Minecraft itself
and not us
it is a minecraft problem, stop blaming flarial for ur backup issues. minecraft bedrock dont even support downgrade, so u should be happy that flarial even does it, and they pinged so many times regarding all this, maybe if u were aware and looking in #changelogs , this post would not have been created

it's not a minecraft problem if they back up ur data on the new version? and the warnings should happen in announcements with everyone pings, just my opinion tho, and as i stated, i blamed flarial for few warnings (i didn't get any warnings when i clicked switch) and flarial isnt the only way to downgrade? flarial is a really great client for being free and bedrock, but i'd look for a paid one thus they can hire more devs and more frequent updates. (also u dont need to copy what others say in a more agressive tone (if u respond to this im ignoring u btw))

the problem with a paid client is that we won't have enough users willing to purchase it
if we enter the paid domain there's already established clients like onix
we'd also have to change our license and drop the open source part
otherwise anybody could build our paid features themselves
as for not pinging everyone, that's evolved into a general practice noting how the community responds over a period of time
the percentage of people unhappy with everyone pings is higher than the percentage happy with it
we only keep everyone pings for major changes, license/legal updates etc

I'm assuming you not getting the notification was an unfortunate timing incident, it wasn't immediately pushed with the GDK updates
we weren't aware of the data issues minecraft was causing and didn't expect it either
it hasn't happened before, at least not to my knowledge
we're thinking of experimenting with a paid cosmetic system in the near future tho, if that pans out and we build a stable and significant revenue stream
