Need Help with Cached Egress usage
Hello, was curious if they is a better way to manage Cached Egress usage?
I have a table in Supabase and a few storage buckets that house some images and videos. Those images and videos are pulled from my website.
Currently there are on 8 rows in my table, but I am constantly getting message that I am exceeding my usage limits and You have exceeded your Free Plan quota in this billing cycle. Upgrade your plan to continue using Supabase without restrictions.
I understand that upgrading would resolve immediately, but curious if I am missing some optimization settings that might bring me under the threshold while I am testing this out?

Not sure what you could optimize without knowing exactly how your access to files is working. Assume that is for storage files.
The only way to reduce is make fewer file requests or reduce size of files.
Extending cache time might also help if the files are used over in the same browser as then you would not even generate requests to the CDN.
@garyaustin Since I am new to this I'll try and give you the details that hopefully answer your questions.
As of nowI have a table in supabase named gallery_images. In this table there are several columns such as thumbnail_url, image_url, before_image_url, is_featured, etc.
This table feeds the website that has an image gallery (6 spots total) on the homepage. I am using YouTube video urls so that videos are available in those 6 gallery spots.
I realize that the videos are more than likely causing the problem, but not quite sure if there is something I can do to optimize that process.

IMO Supabase storage is expensive for videos.
Longer browser caching is not likely to help for videos as you usually don't load them more than once (if caching even applies to videos... I don't know).
So basically you have to go to Pro or reduce how often these videos are used.
Or find another storage service for the videos and just link them there. You may need to come up with your own plan to deal with security if needed though if you go that route.
