i want to play calamity but it needs an older TMod version
it needs version v2025.4.3.0 to work so I try and change it but it wont let me change it to that version

Check the Manage Mods menu. If there are mods with a pink/magenta background and no Steam icon, delete those mods. What it means is you have a local install of the mod which is overriding the likely more up-to-date Steam version. Deleting the local version will let you use the Steam version.

R^ The mod has a megenta or light blue background and no Steam icon. Disable the mod and delete it.
RLight blue background means it is a frozen version from a mod pack.
