✅ I'm trying load a .json file in my app but keep getting an error

I'm trying to load information from the .json it works just fine when running the app from visual studio but when I move the .exe from the debug file to my desktop it doesn't work. Not sure what else to add.

Any reason you're using .NET Framework?
not particular, just what I'm familiar with. Is there a better option?

Since .NET Framework 4.8 there was:

* .NET Core 2
* .NET Core 3
* .NET 5
* .NET 6
* .NET 7
* .NET 8
* .NET 9
I supposed that makes sense

When creating a new project, prefer using .NET over .NET Framework, unless you have a very specific reason to be using .NET Framework.
.NET Framework is now legacy code and only get security fix updates, it no longer gets new features and is not recommended.

I'm having trouble running the .exe outside of the ide still only thing that changed was .net version
How are you building it?
Unless you explicitly use single-file publish, your
.exe will need all the other files from the folder it's in to function
All the .dlls and everything
not sure if it works with debug (op mentioned that he wants the debug exe)
but prolly "Configuration" change to "Debug" should work
