Trying to trade a pokemon, but getting an error message.
My trade partner and I are getting an error message that says the Pokémon is assigned to a gym, despite both of us having the stardust to do the trade.
Can anyone help with this?

they are neither right now. we checked that. my buddy is currently one of my 100iv eevees, and neither of us has any pokemon at a gym right now.
plus they have 3 of the shiny i want, while i have 2 of the shiny they want.

question. to get the reduced trade cost for shinies, do i have to have the shiny also registered in the dex, or just the pokemon itself?
for instance, the current trade im trying to do is a shiny trapinch for a shiny alolan vulpix. they said they have non-shiny trapinch registered in the dex, they just don't have the shiny version. do we both have a shiny of each registered, or will regulars being registered still give the 20k cost?
i tried explaining that the best i could, so apologies if it's difficult to get

Ex :- shiny pikachu from me and I get shiny charmender from other guy
->Trade will be 1m if both parties don't hv both shiny Pokemon registered ( both shiny registered in dex )
-> Trade will be 20k if both parties hv both Pokemons shiny registered
so registration of both regulars and shinies are separate?
