Android Background sync not working

I think I'm having the exactly same problem as issue 21921 on android 15 app vrsion "2.3.1 build.5025". But I'm not sure, if I've forgotten something and am therefore writing here. What I've tried:
- Immich permissions: Immich has all permissions, the app has permissions to run in the background
- Immich is not one of the apps beeing managed by the "accumanager"
- Immich is allowed to use mobile data for background (and foreground) sync
- Immich is delaying uploads for 30s. (Changing that value doesn't seem to have an effect)
Therefore I've no idea, if I've forgotten something. Any advice is highly appreciated.
