I'm trying to add a "tax" to my hologram build cost. Currently, I can't build belts/pipes/powerlines which require connections at the same time as building the structure they connect to (like building a splitter, and the belt that connects to that splitter) as a child. My current solution is a post-build step that adds the belts (and similar connections) after the main buildings are created. While this works, it isn't graceful since the costs of the belts, etc, aren't aggregated into the original cost. I even have the ingredients calculated at the preview phase... but I can't get the costs into the vanilla cost UI. Does anyone know how I might take the calculated costs (like cables, or aluminum, or whatever) and add it to the costs as a sort of "tax" to the main build?
