I want SSR but I'm considering not using Start, Thoughts?

My requirements: Literally just SSR on a tanstack router app
I saw router-questionsTo support SSR, is it necessary to use @tanstack/react-start? thread and saw @Manuel Schiller mentioned that the focus then was to make SSR work with tanstack start and that ssr for router without start would be worked on later. Has later passed? Is the SSR story for tanstack router still only tanstack start?
