Suspend/resume when running workflows through an Agent

Hi all, I'm running the latest Mastra v1 beta (specific version below), and I'm trying to understand the intended functionality of passing a workflow to an agent directly.
When I do this, my agent calls the workflow as I'd expect and it all works really well until my workflow suspends for user input.
As far as I can tell, my human-in-the-loop step is suspending correctly with a reason ("User input required") but the agent doesn't continue after that step. In Mastra Studio I see that step in the workflow just spin indefinitely.
What I would expect to happen is the agent is internally notified the run has been suspended, and requires user input. Then, the agent should ask the user to supply that input, or supply it itself if capable. Once the input is supplied, I would expect it to resume the workflow run and continue.
So I guess my first question is am I interpreting the intended behavior of passing a workflow to an agent correctly, or this not how it's meant to work?
And second question, if I am understanding correctly, can anyone point me in the right direction to get things working how I'd expect? I can put together a simple reproduction if that would help.
