Keywords / tags not visible in Immich
I am running Immich v2.4.1.
Problem:
Existing keywords are not visible in Immich as Tags.
Details:
- Photos contain valid keywords
- Keywords are correctly written to the files
- Keywords are correctly recognized by:
- Lightroom
- Windows Explorer (“Tags / Markierungen”)
- EXIF metadata such as date, camera, GPS is imported correctly by Immich
- Keywords are NOT shown anywhere in Immich (asset detail panel has no Tags section)
Setup:
- Files are JPG
- No sidecar-only workflow; keywords are embedded
- Metadata Extraction job has been executed after import
Questions:
1. Which exact metadata fields does Immich currently read for keyword/tag import?
(IPTC:Keywords, XMP:dc:subject, XMP:lr:hierarchicalSubject, etc.)
2. Is there any supported way to map existing IPTC/XMP keywords to Immich tags for External Libraries?
