Shared link doesn't seem to work on mobile

I have a standard immich server setup and it is behind traefik reverse proxy.
Accessing immich to view and upload works on PC, iOS via web-browser or ios app.
I created a shared link for a photo or several photo and send it to my iPhone. When I click on the link, it seems to load (opens on safari) the photo fine for a split second, then blank screen with the play icon with the crossed out symbol. Open the same link on the PC works. Both the PC and iPhone are on the same network.
