Vanilla Mods
Hey I am doing my very first playthrough and I would like to keep it as vanilla as possible but there are some quality of life mods that just seem super handy to have but I want to make sure that are still vanilla; as I would like to still have friends join up and check out my save without requiring them to download my whole list of mods.
I kinda just want to understand the "vanilla friendly" tag that I commonly see on mod descriptions. Does that tag mean that it is completely client side so I can run these mods with someone who is completely vanilla? I know that attaching the tags is up to the discretion of the mod creator, so trusting the "vanilla friendly" tag isn't always going to be right but I'm curious what people generally mean when they attach that tag.
Can I just read those tags and assume that all of them would work when playing with a friend who is running zero mods or...?
Sorry if this is a silly question, but what made me so confused was seeing the description of the "Faster Manual Crafting" mod that I attached in the picture. It features the vanilla-friendly tag, yet it is a very game breaking mod that would obsolete most automation in this game, which leads me to believe that there's no way I could run this mod when in the same session as someone running a vanilla game. I don't really know anything about modding tho so maybe I'm mistaken
