DataPack + maxChain

VeinminerHow do I configure the pack and set the maxChain to a lower value? I'm testing things out in a single player world but I intend to use it on realms with some friends. I created the world with commands allowed and have Veinminer + Veinminer-Enchantment added as a DataPack but when I try to run the function or command it fails. BTW I couldn't find
default_groups.json
