Customizing update/insert types?

Hey there, I'm using Electric SQL with Tanstack DB. For insert and update, I have special types/schemas that don't allow things I don't want to be set on the client - things like organizationId, createdAt, updatedAt, etc. - however the type used for the collection includes these properties, which gives me errors in the IDE when I want to insert a new item without specifying these params that I don't want to set.

So my question: Is there a way to customize the type for insert and update, or do I have to use

createOptimisticAction

for cases like this? I wanted to avoid using createOptimisticAction for all inserts and updates since it feels like a lot of unnecessary extra code. I also want to allow partial updates, where e.g. only the title of an item changes and I don't have to supply the rest of the item in .insert
