After changing an organisation value, how would I refresh it?

So I have a theme color variable in the org. I'm using a custom endpoint to change the theme. How would I make it so that the org refreshes and picks up this new variable after having set it in the database? I don't really want to refresh the whole page. Is there not some sort of refresh session function or something? Many thanks
