macOS Node - Token Auth

Is recommended from
Setup:
Gateway: Runs on Pi5
macOS: Autossh connects runs a tunnel to the gateway to expose the port locally on my mac. Node is setup using Tailscale remote via SSH.
The moment the token auth is added, the macOS node can no longer connect to the gateway.
I've either missed something in the docs (likely) or I need to do something different.
