One of the main things I want to do when I get more familiar with modding this game is to do a power consumption/generation scale realism mod/overhaul that basically copies all of the base game buildings and defines their power consumption/production at a more realistic level. One example of that would be the lights, which in real life would only consume about 250-400W tops (0.00025-0.0004MW). Would there be any inherent problem with setting MW values this low or including mod savegame settings that would allow the player to tune those values according to their preferences?
