I'm running an immich server on a raspberry pi but i want to keep the same drive but do a complete cleanup. The folder structure is bad and the drive file format ( or what is it called) is also sub optimal for linux. What would an somewhat easy way to just replace it.
Can i just stop everything on the pi. Connect HDD to my pc. Copy all the files from hdd to pc. Format harddrive to correct file format and connect to pi. Make a network connectie with samba etc so I can move all the files from my pc to the pi. Then just restart the docker container with the changed paths.
Is this an correct way or how should I do it? It doesn't really matter if it is somewhat slower etc.
this is not about a backup. Just a way to make it easier to work with my drives etc before it gets bigger and bigger. The configs are correct so it would be nice to keep them.
