WhatsApp inbound not working - possible phone number formatting issue
Hey! I'm having an issue where WhatsApp shows as linked and OK in clawdbot status, but inbound messages never arrive. Outbound works fine.
Environment:
Clawdbot 2026.1.24-3
Ubuntu Linux (AWS EC2)
Node 22.22.0
The issue:
My Brazilian phone number is +5548991XXXXXX but Clawdbot shows it as +554891XXXXXX (missing a 9). Brazilian mobile numbers have a "9" prefix that might be getting stripped incorrectly.
What I tried:
Cleared auth state and re-linked with new QR โ didn't help
Verified lid-mapping files exist and look correct
Issue #415 fix should be in this version
Observations:
clawdbot status shows WhatsApp ON, OK, linked
Messages arrive on my phone but Clawdbot never sees them
No inbound logs at all
Could this be related to phone number normalization for Brazilian numbers? The missing "9" seems suspicious.
When Clawdbot message my number it show up on clawbot phone, but not on my, then if I message Clawd my message come to Clawd phone like a different contact under the same number but different chat.
