Bug: Empty tool names causing API rejections in Telegram
Environment:
Version: 2026.1.24-3 (885167d)
Platform: Ubuntu 24.04 / Node 22.22.0
Channel: Telegram
Model: anthropic/claude-sonnet-4-5
Issue:
Telegram bot returns: LLM request rejected: messages.15.content.3.tooluse.name: String should have at least 1 character
Behavior:
Clawdbot logs show successful runs (no errors)
Telegram receives API rejection errors
Bot appears non-functional to users
Evidence:
Logs show empty tool names:
"embedded run tool start: tool= toolCallId=call..."
"read tool called without path: toolCallId=call_... argsType=object"
Reproduce:

Root Cause:
Serialization bug where tool names/arguments aren't properly passed when constructing follow-up API requests. Tool name field becomes empty, causing Anthropic API validation failure.
Impact:
Tool workflows completely broken
Affects latest stable release
Regression in 2026.1.24-3
Workarounds Tried:
Switching models: failed
Reinstalling: failed
Rollback to 2026.1.20: installation failed (patch errors)
