Feature request / looking for workarounds: Custom session reset prompt
I'm trying to get my agent to consistently use the message tool to send multiple short messages instead of one big block (feels way more natural in chat).The instruction is in AGENTS.md and SOUL.md, but Claude's base training defaults to responding in one complete message - so it keeps forgetting to use the tool despite clear instructions.
I was thinking: if I could customize the prompt that fires on /new or /reset, I could add a reminder like "Remember to use the message tool for multi-message replies" right at session start.
Currently the reset prompt seems hardcoded ("Say hi briefly and ask what the user wants to do next").
Questions:
1. Is there a config option to customize the reset/greeting prompt that I'm missing?
2. Any other workarounds people have found for reinforcing specific behaviors at session start?
3. Would this be worth a feature request?
