Tool calls arriving with empty arguments
From my clawdbot:
• All tool invocations now return empty arguments even though valid JSON is being passed
• Every tool call fails with "Tool not found" for the argument fields
• Example: calling exec with {"command":"echo test"} returns {"command": "must have required property 'command'"} as if nothing was sent
What we've tried:
• clawdbot gateway restart → no fix
• clawdbot doctor → no fix
• Full clawdbot gateway stop then clawdbot gateway start → no fix
Context:
• Gateway shows as running (status check passes)
• All tools affected (exec, read, web_fetch, browser, etc.)
• Session otherwise responsive — just can't execute any tools
Hypothesis:
• JSON payload getting stripped somewhere in the tool invocation layer
• Could be Node version mismatch, session state corruption, or a bug in the gateway's argument parsing
