How to get predictable serverFn URLs for CDN cache purging?
Hi everyone! I'm building a blog CMS with TanStack Start + Cloudflare Workers and running into a CDN cache invalidation challenge.
Context:
- Using TanStack Start with Cloudflare Workers (workerd)
- Need to purge CDN cache when content updates (using Cloudflare's purge API)
- Cloudflare supports purging by exact URL or URL prefix

1. Calling Hono API routes from loader - Doesn't work in Cloudflare Workers because workerd sandbox can't make HTTP requests to itself during SSR
2. Dual-track approach (serverFn for SSR, Hono API for client) - Realized loader also runs on client navigation, so serverFn is always used, making Hono API pointless
Questions:
1. Is there a way to get the full URL with payload that a serverFn call would generate, so I can purge that exact URL?
2. Or is there a way to customize the payload serialization format to be more predictable?
3. Any recommended patterns for CDN cache invalidation with serverFn?
