Verbose not working
What I'm trying to do: Use verbose mode to see full tool call details and reasoning output when making agent requests.
Expected behavior: When verbose mode is enabled via /verbose, subsequent requests should show:
β’ Full tool call details (input/output)
β’ Internal reasoning/thinking process
β’ Detailed execution trace
What happened instead: Verbose mode appears enabled (responds "Verbose mode enabled" to /verbose), but only the final text response is displayed. No verbose output appears regardless of subsequent commands.
What I ran:
1. /verbose β "Verbose mode enabled" confirmation received
2. /status (and other tool calls) β Only final response shown, no verbose details
3. moltbot gateway restart β Verbose still not working
4. cd /home/art/clawdbot && bun install β Dependencies confirmed current
Environment:
β’ OS: NixOS (Linux 6.12.64 x64)
β’ Install method: nix-env / nix profile
β’ Moltbot version: 2026.1.26 (latest as of Jan 27, 2026)
β’ Node runtime: bun 1.3.5
β’ Agent model: minimax/MiniMax-M2.1
Relevant logs:
moltbot doctor --non-interactive output:
- Telegram: ok (@kesslerAIBot)
- WhatsApp: linked
- Web Channel: connected
- Agents: main, niemand, work
- node_modules warning (pnpm install suggested, but bun install shows no changes)
Question: Is verbose mode output currently broken in the latest release, or did a config/permission requirement change?
