Bug: HTTP 400 after tool call - final response not reaching client
There's a bug in the gateway when handling the post-tool-call flow. After the model executes a tool call and receives results, the gateway returns "HTTP 400: Provider returned error" (Anthropic) or "Unknown error" (WhatsApp) when trying to send the completion request to the provider.
Details:
• Happens with both Anthropic (OAuth) and OpenRouter (Kimi)
• Model responds correctly (visible in session logs)
• Client only receives error, not the final response
• Workaround: typing "continue" forces the flow to proceed and response arrives
• Version: 2026.1.24-3
The issue seems to be in the payload format the gateway builds when resending the conversation with tool results to the provider. Have full logs if needed.
