external library seems to not import 1 folder

On Synology DS224+, connected my Synology Photos folder as external library (/volume1/homes/srijckae/Photos:/SynologyPhotos:ro
Getting it imported was a hassle (docker kept crashing due to overload it seemed), but it looks to work fine now. There are however quite some photos that seemed to have failed, because about 30k of them have a message "error loading image" and don't show up on the timeline view, only in folder view.
Running the "External Libraries" task does not seem to fix it.
Any suggestions?
