Supabase Auth signup failing: “Failed to create user: Database error creating new user”

I’m unable to register new users via Supabase Auth right now.
Every signup attempt fails with:

This is consistent and effectively blocks all new registrations.
I also noticed there may be maintenance ongoing, but I can’t find a clear incident/status update that matches what I’m seeing. For reference: https://status.supabase.com/
Has anyone seen this recently, or can confirm if there’s an ongoing Auth/DB incident affecting signups? Any recommended checks on my side would also be appreciated (logs, project settings, limits, etc.).
