Cron jobs not delivering to Telegram - tested multiple approaches
Goal: Set up reliable cron reminders that deliver directly to Telegram DM
Environment:
• OpenClaw version: 2026.1.29
• OS: Linux (Ubuntu)
• Channel: Telegram (DM with paired user)
• Timezone: Europe/Paris
What I've tried:
1. Isolated session with agentTurn + deliver: • sessionTarget: "isolated"
• payload.kind: "agentTurn" with deliver: true, channel: "telegram", to: "8308762011"
• Result: Job runs (status "ok"), message generated, but NOT delivered to Telegram
2. Isolated session with bestEffortDeliver: • Same + "bestEffortDeliver": true
• Result: Same issue - runs but no delivery
3. Main session with systemEvent: • sessionTarget: "main", wakeMode: "now"
• payload.kind: "systemEvent"
• Result: Event appears in logs, main agent receives it, but doesn't auto-forward
Expected: Cron executes → Message delivered to Telegram DM automatically
Questions:
• Is deliver: true with explicit to supposed to work for Telegram DMs?
• Should I use session: main + systemEvent and handle forwarding in agent?
• Known issue with Telegram DM delivery from cron?
