Unable to install plugins on Windows – spawn npm ENOENT
Hi, I’m trying to install plugins on Windows using OpenClaw, but I’m running into an error.
What I’m trying to do:
Run openclaw plugins install on Windows (PowerShell / CMD).
What’s happening instead:
The command fails with the following error:spawn npm ENOENT
npm itself is installed correctly and works fine when run directly in the terminal, so it seems like OpenClaw is failing to spawn npm on Windows.
Relevant details:
• OS: Windows
• Shell: PowerShell
• npm is available in PATH

That issue was auto-closed as a support request, but there is a proposed fix that enables shell mode on Windows (or uses npm.cmd), which appears to resolve the problem.
I wanted to check:
• Is this the expected behavior on Windows?
• If not, would a PR addressing this be acceptable?
