1. Goal I am trying to switch my agent's backend from Gemini (due to quota limits) to Anthropic Claude. My goal is to use the agent for business automation and Telegram interaction for my rental service, Snapshoot.
2. The Problem (Exact Error) Despite successfully pairing my Telegram bot and running openclaw doctor --fix, I am stuck with the following error whenever I send a message:
HTTP 401: authentication_error: Invalid bearer token followed by (no output) in the TUI/Dashboard.
3. Environment
OS: macOS 15.6 (arm64, Mac mini)
Node.js: v25.5.0
OpenClaw Version: 2026.1.30 (76b5208)
Installation: Global npm/pnpm with local LaunchAgent service.
4. Logs & Configuration Snippets As shown in my openclaw models status:
Default Model: anthropic/claude-haiku-4-5 (Note: I suspect this model name might be incorrect, as 4.5 is not yet released for Haiku).
Auth Status: anthropic is configured with a token starting with sk-ant-o....
Telegram: Status is OK (@mgagentbot).
5. Steps Taken
Ran openclaw doctor --fix to resolve path mismatches.
Verified PATH and alias settings (confirmed with openclaw status).
Re-entered the Anthropic API key in openclaw.json and via the Dashboard.
Restarted the gateway service multiple times.
6. Questions
Does the model name claude-haiku-4-5 actually exist in OpenClaw's current support list, or should I change it to claude-3-5-haiku-latest?
Why does the status report show agent:main:main active with 14k/200k tokens if I am getting a 401 error?
Could the Node.js v25.5.0 version be causing issues with the Anthropic SDK's bearer token headers?
