Advice for First Time Setup Using Local LLM.
I've setup, torn down and reset up about 5 times now to work things out and clean things up.
One piece of advice I can share, it's easy to screw up the config when entering local LLM details since there is no option in the initial setup
What makes this way easier is buying about $5 of Claude API tokens and load the API key on initial setup.
Then ask your own openclaw to add the local model as your primary model when you are up and running. It will update the config quickly and hassle free.
If you want to feel safe after that, just kill your Claude API key after initial setup.
($5 might be overkill. Could probably do $2 - but it was jaw dropping how fast you hit rate limits and burn tokens using any LLM API).
