Total newb looking for help on which model to choose
I bought the cheap mac mini 16gb 256ssd m4. I'm going to set it up this week, I wont use the mac for anything other than the bot. Just doing this to tinker with really and see where it leads. I was thinking about doing ollama local. Just wondering if that is recommended? or is there a better paid version that isn't going to crush me (cost wise) on use? I don't have any paid ai plans currently but I'm not opposed to them, but I've seen some people say they work and others say they don't work. It seems like every time I'm about to start I see something new or changed that throws me. Any advice for first setup would be helpful.
