ElevenLabs TTS outputs MEDIA: path as text instead of attaching voice note
Hey! Having an issue with ElevenLabs TTS on Telegram.
Setup:
OpenClaw 2026.2.2-3 on macOS (arm64)
Model: moonshotai/kimi-k2.5
Channel: Telegram
TTS provider: ElevenLabs (eleven_v3)
STT: ElevenLabs
Config:
messages.tts.provider: "elevenlabs"
messages.tts.auto: "always"
messages.tts.elevenlabs.voiceId: "FF7KdobWPaiR0vkcALHF"
messages.tts.elevenlabs.modelId: "eleven_v3"
Problem:
When I ask my agent to send voice, it outputs the MEDIA: path as text instead of attaching the audio:
The audio file IS being generated (I can see the .opus file), but it's not being attached to the Telegram message as a voice note. It just prints the path as text.
What I've tried:
Set messages.tts.auto to "always"
Gateway restart
Told the agent not to use the tts tool manually
Expected behavior:
Agent replies with text โ OpenClaw converts to audio โ Sends as Telegram voice note bubble
Actual behavior:
Agent calls tts tool โ Outputs MEDIA:/path as plain text โ No voice attachment
Any ideas? Is there something I'm missing in the config?
