How to configure OpenAI API Compliant Provider?

Hi!

I'm trying to setup a provider whose API is

openai-completions

openai-completions

but I always get

(no response)

(no response)

as an output.
I'm not sure if it's the provider configuration or anything else.

I can't seem to find any logs to confirm that the API calls are correct. Is there anything I can do to check what's going on?

Solution

- If this returns empty / errors but

model:"myProvider/LLM-Mini"

model:"myProvider/LLM-Mini"

works → then OpenClaw must be configured with that exact id:
-

models.providers.myProvider.models[0].id = "myProvider/LLM-Mini"

models.providers.myProvider.models[0].id = "myProvider/LLM-Mini"

- and your

agents.defaults.model.primary

agents.defaults.model.primary

must become

myProvider/myProvider/LLM-Mini

myProvider/myProvider/LLM-Mini

(then hide it with an alias).

2) If model naming isn’t it: verify the OpenAI SDK can actually read your stream

This isolates “provider streaming isn’t truly OpenAI-SDK compatible” in ~30 seconds:

const client = new OpenAI({
apiKey: process.env.MY_KEY,
baseURL: "https://api.myProvider.com/v1",
