I am testing my discord bot integration. I've got it responding to messages in my server's general channel. When I try to set the model "/model opus" my bot returns "You are not authorized to use this command."

It has the Use Application Commands setting enabled already.

Solution

That error isn’t Discord permissions — it’s OpenClaw’s command authorization.

On Discord, native slash commands (like

/model

/model

) are only honored for authorized senders. If you haven’t configured any allowlist/owner list, OpenClaw will register the command (so you can see it), but will reply “You are not authorized to use this command.” when you run it.

Fix (recommended): allowlist yourself for that guild/channel

Add your Discord user id to the guild (or channel)
