openclaw reinstall error

I try to reinstall openclaw to get the latest version, I ran one-liner and got stuck. So I tried npm install and got message as below:

ubuntu@ip-172-31-xx-xx:~$ npm install -g openclaw@latest
⠼Killed

What can I do to install openclaw successfully

Solution

sudo fallocate -l 2G /swapfile
sudo chmod 600 /swapfile
sudo mkswap /swapfile
sudo swapon /swapfile
echo '/swapfile none swap sw 0 0' | sudo tee -a /etc/fstab

sudo fallocate -l 2G /swapfile
sudo chmod 600 /swapfile
sudo mkswap /swapfile
sudo swapon /swapfile
echo '/swapfile none swap sw 0 0' | sudo tee -a /etc/fstab

Then retry:

node -v   # should be >= 22
npm i -g openclaw@latest

node -v   # should be >= 22
npm i -g openclaw@latest

3) If you want more visibility from the one-liner installer
