HUB75 RGB LED matrix + esp32

Im trying to get a 64x32 rgb matrix working with an esp32.
I have the both of them wired as shown here : https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/RGB-Matrix-P3-64x32 (wiring is corrrect, i triple-checked)
When trying it out with the ESP32-HUB75-MatrixPanel-I2S-DMA library, i get the attached video as a result.
Here is the code I ran : (its the SimpleTestShapes example from the library)
