Right way to deploy Edge functions on self hosted

I have a self-hosted instance of Supabase on my server, and I'd like to know how to correctly deploy my Edge function on it. I previously used the cloud version and could deploy from the CLI without any problems, but with the hosted version, it doesn't seem as simple.
I saw in the documentation that the functions are stored in "volumes/functions," and in another post, this section of the documentation was mentioned (help-and-questionsSelf-hosted Supabase (VPS + Coolify): How to add / deploy Edge Functions?), and that the functions had to be copied manually. Is this the only way, or is it specific to using Coolify?
