MatterMost and need to use @mentions or the bot doesn't know

Issue: Mattermost channel messages not delivering unless @mentioned
Running OpenClaw with Mattermost plugin. DMs deliver fine, and @mentions in channels work. But regular channel messages (where I'm a member, requireMention: false) never reach the agent session.
OpenClaw version: latest npm install
Mattermost: self-hosted, bot account with system_admin role
Config: multiple channels configured with requireMention: false
Workaround: migrated to Discord (works correctly)
Is this expected behavior or a bug? Any config I might be missing?
