401 authentication error -> 429 Rate limit -> no response from OpenClaw
Hi there - new OpenClaw user, have done my best to read the previous threads about this.
I'm running with Telegram (gateway reachable, default enabled, configured, running, token, config, works)
anthropic/claude-sonnet-4-5 (somehow ended up with two instances one default token and one manual)
I originally just had a pasted token from console, and in my attempt to troubleshoot read in an earlier thread that I should:
claude setup-token
openclaw models auth paste-token --provider anthropic --profile-id anthropic:default
openclaw models auth order set --provider anthropic anthropic:default
So now I have two in there.
Everything was going "normal" with my bot as I was trying to figure out the Twilio Websocket <Parameter> bug/patch. I pasted a large error log from Twilio and then got several: HTTP 401: authentication_error: invalid x-api-key (request_id: req_011 responses. I then kept trying to send telegram "test" messages and got HTTP 429: rate_limit_error: This request would exceed your account's rate limit. Please try again. So I upped my tier to be sure in the anthropic console. Now when I send a telegram message it looks as if its responding but then doesn't, and if I send a message in he Openclaw gateway dahsboard chat, it just returns a blank.
Any help greatly appreciated, lots of time invested here!
