Can't get Whatsapp business to link via control UI QR code
Running OpenClaw 2026.2.9 in Docker on Unraid 7.0.0 (br0 network mode, dedicated LAN IP). Trying to link a WhatsApp Business account (dedicated Tello eSIM number).
What happens:
QR code generates fine (both CLI and Control UI)
Phone scans QR, shows "Logging in..." for ~15-30 seconds
Phone returns "Couldn't log in. Check your phone's internet connection and scan the QR code again."
Gateway logs show immediate 401 after provider starts:
WhatsApp session logged out. Run: openclaw channels login
[default] channel exited: {"error":{"data":{"reason":"401","location":"atn"},"isBoom":true,"isServer":false,"output":{"statusCode":401,"payload":{"statusCode":401,"error":"Unauthorized","message":"Connection Failure"}}}}
Earlier attempt also showed: WhatsApp login failed: status=515 Unknown Stream Errored (restart required)
What I've tried:
Multiple QR scans from Control UI and CLI
Clearing credentials (~/.openclaw/credentials/whatsapp/default/)
Restarting gateway between attempts
Force-closing WhatsApp Business app before scanning
Confirmed WhatsApp Business is up to date and number is fully verified (can send/receive messages)
Only 1 linked device on the account
Switched Docker from bridge to br0 โ no change
Phone, laptop, and server all on same WiFi
Environment:
OpenClaw 2026.2.9, Baileys 7.0.0-rc.9
Unraid 7.0.0, Docker with br0 networking
WhatsApp Business (Android, latest version)
Dedicated number via Tello eSIM
Any ideas? Is this a known issue with Baileys rc.9 + WhatsApp Business?
