Openclaw optimization help
Anyway... Openclaw is eating money. A lot of it. I am waking up to daily bills of more than 5 dollars. Why is that? Cause for every fcking tool call and message it makes and api call with over 130k input tokens.
And I DONT know how to fix this. I watched Matt Ganzak's video. So I did put a free model like llama 3.2 3b for heartbeats. Then I also am thinking about using cheaper models for cheaper tasks and complex models for complex tasks.
But it won't help. If I am building all day I would still pay too much. So Matt Ganzak said: "Put this into your system prompt for openclaw and it will work"

But of course the whole session history gets sent to my llm every message and every tool call. So he also said that we need to enable caching. I do not know how to do that. He did not go through the specifics.
He said that if the session history is not loaded for every tool call or message then we can enable tools like: memory_get and memory_search. But they don't work.
I enabled them for my agent in the config. But my openclaw still says that he can't use them. Nothing.
How do I enable all these things to NOT give full session history for every tool call. And use caching and use pruning and use compaction etc.
