Agent status for command center
I can't find an RPC method that returns the current agent status (e.g., idle, thinking, running, streaming). The status method returns session data (percentUsed, context, etc.) but no explicit agent status field.
What I've tried:
โข agents_status โ "unknown method"
โข status_all โ "unknown method"
โข sessions.list โ returns sessions but no status field
โข WebSocket events (tick, chat, presence) โ don't include agent status
Questions:
1. Is there an RPC method I'm missing that returns live agent status?
2. If not, how is the CLI's openclaw status command getting agent status?
3. Should I be inferring status from session context growth, or is there a better approach?
Running OpenClaw 2026.2.12 on Windows. Thanks!
