Solved:
Root Issue:
I could not login with my Supabase username and password. It seems that it was associated to a Github somehow but Github said the email address did not exist.
Solution:
As per GaryAustin's recommendation what I did was create a new Github Account with my email address. I could not use the same "username" though but that ended up not mattering. I then enabled the 2FA for the email address.
Afterwards, I went to Supabase and logged in via Github (incognito mode) with the newly created Github email address. All was restored.
Original Question: Good day,
I’m having trouble accessing my Supabase account for myemail@hotmail.com.
What’s happening
I can’t log in with this email (possible but I don't thnk I forgot my password).
Password reset says the account is linked to GitHub and must be reset there, but I don’t have a GitHub account using this email address. (I do have a Github Account linked to another email though)
I’m on Windows and have tried Comet, Firefox, and Chrome. The Supabase account was created ~6 weeks ago.
Key clue
I can log into Bolt.new (same username as my usual GitHub account) and from there I can see my Supabase org's name and access/create databases, but I can’t tell which Supabase login/GitHub identity it’s tied to.
What I’ve tried
Logging in with my normal GitHub account works, but it shows no Supabase projects.
My projects are still live. Public project URL: lotsofletters.supabase.co
I tried adding myemail@hotmail.com as an alternate GitHub email to my main github account, but Supabase then displayes errors and won’t allow GitHub sign-in (appears the account may already be linked elsewhere).
Ask
Can you help me recover access or confirm which GitHub account currently owns the project/org tied to lotsofletters.supabase.co?
Thank you,
