Newbie Question: gogcli vs Google Apps Script?
I’m a complete newbie, but I’m trying to set everything up myself and really understand how it works. I managed to get gogcli running, though it still feels a bit basic. My bot struggles even with simple things like adding values or properly updating a Google Sheet.
It suggested switching to Google Apps Script, since gogcli seems to have issues with column offsets, formula handling (they’re treated as plain text), and unreliable row appending. Apps Script would run directly inside Sheets, handle formulas correctly, and allow cleaner batch updates via a webhook.
But for me, it feels like quite a big leap — maybe even overkill at this stage. I’m honestly not sure if the tool is the problem… or if I’m just doing something wrong
