Discord - slash command not working, only thinking

Slash commands stuck on "Thinking..." forever

Problem: /status, /stop, /new show "Thinking..." but never respond (2h+). Normal text messages work instantly.
Setup: OpenClaw 2026.2.14 | Windows | Gateway local | Discord bot (<100 servers)

Checked:

"Use Application Commands" permission enabled

Channel on allowlist

Gateway OK, bot online

Normal messages work

Key finding from logs:
- Normal messages: MESSAGE_CREATE → processed ✓
- Slash commands: NO INTERACTION_CREATE logs at all ✗

Discord sends interaction (shows "Thinking..."), but OpenClaw never receives it.

Questions:
1. Does OpenClaw auto-register slash commands on startup?
2. Is INTERACTION_CREATE handler implemented?
3. Debug mode for Discord interactions?

Additional context: Previously attempted creating custom skills with

command-dispatch: tool

to bypass LLM for slash commands. Not sure if something got stuck in Discord command registry
or OpenClaw state from that experiment. No custom skills currently in folder, config looks clean.
