How to handle a `.` in a route (eg `/.well-known`)

I'm trying to create a route handler for

/.well-known/*

/.well-known/*

, but the start router doesn't seem to pick up and create a route for any files or folders that start with a

.
I've tried both

src/routes/.well-known.$.ts

src/routes/.well-known.$.ts

and

src/routes/.well-known/$.ts

src/routes/.well-known/$.ts

and both times I get no route generated in my routeTree.gen nor the route code scaffolded with the dev server running.
I am wanting to use a route handler for this so I can update my responses per environment with the correct URLs.
